Here is a quick JavaScript Promise implementation:

It comes with all features of jQuery Deferred (waterfall, parallel, or immediate ), but has much smaller footprint (~1Kb minified and gZipped). Fully tested and ready to be used in production on a client and server-side (node.js). I am not sure about browser support, but it should work with any browser that is capable to run ECMAScript5.
